CLASS SIZE: 12 STUDENTS

In our 3s class, we focus on learning to interact with teachers and friends in a classroom environment, proper pencil grip, gaining a basic understanding of numbers and alphabet sounds, colors and shapes, as well as learning how to use glue and scissors. We also work on our large motor growth through gym time and playground activities. The students who attend this class go on to either of our Four- or Five-year-old classes the next year, although this class is not required to attend the others. Children must be potty trained before entering this class. No Pull Ups please.

CLASS SIZE: 16 STUDENTS

In our 4s class, we add to our knowledge of letter recognition and the ability to count to 12. We begin to master writing our own name and practice writing the other letters of the alphabet as well. We build on our crafting skills and add in some science projects and a music unit. We practice sitting still for circle time and active listening skills. Gym time includes more organized games and activities. While some of the students who attend this class join us for another year, many go on to Kindergarten the following year. Children must be potty trained before entering this class. No Pull Ups please.

CLASS SIZE: 16 STUDENTS

In our 5s class, we build on the skills we have learned in previous years and we add in sign language. Our crafts in this class involve more scissor work and detail. We work on perfecting writing our name, coloring inside the lines, and proper pencil grip. We sit quietly during circle time and participate in classroom discussions. Our science and music units are a little more complicated. Gym time includes more organized games and activities. The students who attend this class have the intention of moving on to Kindergarten. Children must be potty trained before entering this class. No Pull Ups please.
